"Octopuses Are Starting to Multiply in the Sea of Marmara"

Volkan Narcı, President of the Marine Life Conservation Society, embarked on a 90-day sea expedition starting from the Sea of Marmara and concluding in the Mediterranean. During this journey, he examined common biological species in the seas and discussed issues and solutions with scientists and fishermen. For his project titled "Sustainability Journey from the Sea of Marmara to the Mediterranean," Narcı set sail from Heybeliada in July aboard a sailboat, covering 1,700 nautical miles through the Sea of Marmara, Aegean Sea, and Mediterranean.
