The +1 Breath for the Sea project has begun! Coral transplantation has been carried out in the Sea of Marmara.

With the goal of a sustainable world for future generations, the Denize +1 Nefes project was initiated in collaboration with Anadolu Efes and the Marine Life Conservation Society. Within the scope of the project, the association's president Volkan Narcı and volunteers carried out coral transplantation near Tavşan Island. The transplantation, involving the yellow gorgonian species, was conducted 30 meters underwater. Under the consultancy of Istanbul University’s Faculty of Aquatic Sciences Associate Professor Dr. Nur Eda Topçu, the project aims to transplant corals that have been displaced from their natural environment to Tavşan Island, which has been designated a sensitive area in need of protection, and to create new coral gardens.
