Arçelik, WWF-Türkiye, and the Marine Life conservation Society  Launch New Project for Ghost Fishing Nets located in the Istanbul Islands

As part of the project, fish nets will be recycled and used in Arçelik products.

Arçelik, WWF-Türkiye (World Wildlife Fund) and the Marine Life Conservation Society (DYKD) have teamed up for a collaborative project aimed at addressing the issue of ghost fishing nets that threaten marine biodiversity.

As part of the "Ghost Nets Project," ghost fishing nets discovered through exploratory dives around the Princes' Islands in the Sea of Marmara are being removed through specialized diving operations. The recovered nets will be recycled and used in Arçelik products. This initiative will not only reduce the impact of ghost nets on biodiversity but also contribute to the economy by recycling the collected nets.
